Short Film

Run Rabbit Run- Short Film

This was a final project for one of my DTC college courses at Washington State University. I am especially proud of it because it was my first experience to really getting behind the camera and working in a film like setting. It was so fun to edit and put together and work with the color and story line. Although it is not perfect I think it showcases my abilities as a designer and multimedia author in my beginning stages of my career.

Stop Motion

Fishy- Stop Motion

This was also a project for a Washington State University course and the first time I ever did a stop motion, which made the process extra hard because I did not know what I was doing. Although, I did have a strong concept and story line that I wanted to follow, which I feel is reflected in the video. This was a very fun project to work on and helped me develop more of an understanding of my style as a designer.

Other Course Work

Genre Conventions of Comedy Movies Starring Melissa McCarthy

This was a project for one of my DTC courses at Washington State University. The project asked for us to find a genre anywhere in the media and create video that explains the conventions that make it that genre. So I decided to pick apart comedy movies starring Melissa McCarthy because I noticed that every movie shes in has these scene. Then I found visual clips to supplement my vioce over and, like most of my projects, this was edited using Premier Pro.

Snowmageddon

This was a mixed media project for a DTC film course. The project asked for us to use create a 3 beat narrative with: only found footage from the public domain, a green screen, Original sound mixing, and animation (both digital and analog). I chose to tell a story, very relevant to our area, called "Snowmagedon". This story follows a girl who feel trapped by the snow that has taken over. The opening credits include my analog animation that tells a smaller story about a bee being trapped by snow. I then put animated snow on top (using Adobe After Effects). Then the majority of the short is made with compiled footage that I found, with a short green screen scene. Then it ends with sounds of birds, which I recorded and added that to the end of the music I created.

ABSTRACTION FA 333

This was a project for one of my Fine Arts courses at Washington State University. The project asked for us to experiment with shots and concepts to create a video that was abstracted. I chose to layer different footage and overlay different footage to create somewhat of a twilight zone feel. The Macro footage and music is not mine, but the rest of the footage is. This video was edited using Adobe Premier Pro.

Video/Soundscape FA 333

This was a project for one of my Fine Arts courses at Washington State University. The project asked for us to first create a soundscape using Adobe Audition. Then after it was create make a video that went along with the soundscape we created. I chose to first make my soundscape based off my summer where I would relax in bed and then go for a walk around town. I then chose to use still shots of empty spaces in my video to let the sound stand out and speak for its self. We also were required to add some form of animation within our project, which I did by creating shots in Photoshop and then trimming them right so they were animated in Adobe Premier Pro. The rest of the  video was edited using Premiere Pro.
